Flyers center Brayden Schenn told NHL.com that it will take some time for players to get their game legs back following the break.

"I don't think we're going to be in as good of game shape as when we left," Schenn said. "That's obviously going to take some time. I think we're going to be in the same boat as everyone else throughout the League though, so I think it's going to be more about the mental game for Thursday night."

Philly will play three games in four days after the long break.

"Down the stretch we're playing a lot of good hockey teams, and there's going to be a lot of battles each night," forward Brayden Schenn said. "We have three games in four nights, and those are obviously six huge points we've got to have."

Calude Giroux was passed over for the Canadian team that won gold in Sochi, but was red-hot prior to the break, scoring five goals to go along with six assists in the final seven games.

"When you haven't played the game for two weeks, mentally you need to make sure you stay focused and be ready on the first shift," Giroux said.

Joe Pavelski, among the league leaders with 29 goals, scored 11 of the Sharks' 31 with Couture out, but Couture returns to the lineup on Thursday, which should help out a team that averaged 1.46 GPG without him.

"It was nice to see guys step up," said Couture, fourth on the team with 35 points. "When Pav was going real well there, it was unbelievable to watch. A lot of guys stepped up and helped the team win games when we weren't necessarily playing our best.
