Sony Xperia Z3 Price, Full Specifications Predictions Circulated As 6-Month Time Frame Between New Models Remains; Reports Suggest Z3 Coming August 2014

Sony Xperia Z3’s price and full specifications is already being speculated and predicted in the tech blogosphere. The discussion on an upcoming flagship is fanned by the comments of Sony Mobile’s Creative Director who said that Sony waits for six months before releasing a new model. Yoshiro’s confirmation that the timeline remains has effectively spark rumors for a Sony Xperia Z3 this August.

In a report by Phone Arena, citing Xperia Blog and Impress as sources, it noted that the Sony executive said the company needs to update certain models every six months in order to maintain “a flagship.” Yoshiro added that using a yearly release cycle would make it impossible for the Japanese tech giant to catch up with the competition. The company also plans to continue using OmniBalance design that launched with Sony Xperia Z and was also seen in the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2.

Sony recently launched the Sony Xperia Z2 at the Mobile World Congress Monday and it unveiled the Sony Xperia Z1S and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last month.

It’s expected that the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 may be priced roughly around the same as the Sony Xperia Z1, which is roughly north of $500 without a contract. The Z3 may also have a 5-inch display and like all Xperia devices be waterproof.

The Xperia Z3 is also expected to have the latest quad-core processor in tow like the Snapdragon 801 and a high-resolution display and extremely high pixel density screen.
