This will be the first game since the Olympic break for Anaheim. Teemu Selanne is coming off his final Olympics for a Finland team that left with a bronze medal.

"It was a great way to finish my national team career," Selanne, who was named MVP of the Olympic tournament, told NHL.com. "Now I'm back here, and it's also a good feeling. We have a great team here, and we have a mission. Hopefully the break will be good for our players. They can regroup and be ready for that last push. It's gonna be fun."

The Ducks had 19 days to rest, besides those who participated at the games in Sochi. The Blues already had a game on Wednesday. They lost 1-0, but it was one game under their belt to get the chemistry back while Anaheim hasn't played yet.

"We just need to keep working hard," forward Jakob Silfverberg told NHL.com. "We were outworking the opposing teams every night, and that's what we need to do to be successful. If you work hard, all the other stuff falls into place. We're going to try to win every battle and take it one game at a time."

The first of a three-game road trip for St. Louis resulted in its first shutout loss of the season.

"Pretty sluggish," American Olympian T.J. Oshie told the team's official website. "Our line (Oshie, David Backes and Patrik Berglund) was over in Sochi, but the zones are so much longer and obviously the boards aren't as wide. It just seemed like it was a long ways to go from the top of the circles to the blue line."
