HTC One 2 M8 Release Date: Upcoming Flagship Appears In Demo Video And Shouts 'Premium', Boasts Brushed Metal Finish, Slimmer Frame, On-Screen Buttons

HTC One 2 M8 release date: If you were disappointed with what you saw or read about the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, then you may have been wondering what the HTC 'All New One' has to offer.

It is also worth noting that the Taiwanese manufacturer has bashed Samsung for its lame design, and it even claims that there would be buyer's remorse for everyone who is going to get the new Galaxy S5.

Were they just trying to build hype? Or are those claims solid?

According to a report from GSM Arena, a demo video showcasing most of the HTC One M8's features was posted on YouTube, and was taken down after a while.

Fortunately, another YouTube user was able to download it.

As you can see, the upcoming HTC One flagship shares a similar design with the current flagship, only with a major difference - a brushed metal design which certainly puts the Galaxy S5's 'dotted' style to shame.

Also aboard are the dual cameras which have been reported for the past weeks. Compared to the HTC One, the 'All New One' is slightly bigger, but it looks much slimmer than its precessor, once again adding plus points to its score.

Whether you like BlinkFeed or not, it is still usable in the upcoming flagship device. The demo video also showed how music would sound in the handset's BoomSound speakers, and it sure did not disappoint except that it may still need some tuning so sounds go out smoother.

We also saw the on-screen buttons of the new HTC device, and while it may need some getting used to, users would eventually get the hang of it.

Other specs we have been hearing for the past weeks include a Snapdragon 800 chipset, quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, and Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.

So, is the HTC All New One shaping up to be the smartphone to have this year?
