The Wanted Breakup Needed So The Boys Can “Do Their Own Thing?” Nathan Sykes Say Breather Could Be A Long Or Short One

The Wanted breakup is necessary so the boys can "do their own thing", band member Nathan Sykes said in an interview with MTV.com, but he quickly added that he could never predict whether the split is going to be short or long one.

"You never know what's gonna happen," Nathan Sykes said. "It could be a long break or it could be quite a short one, but it's probably going to be quite a lengthy one if I'm honest."

"We might go for a couple of drinks and in a few minutes' time say 'Well actually, we'd all like to get back in the studio,' so you never know what's gonna happen." Nathan Sykes added.

Despite reports of tension between some members of the band and the breakup of The Wanted , Nathan Sykes insisted that all the members of the group are psyched to finish what could be their final concert tour together.

The Wanted is set to perform in the UK and Ireland following the breakup rumors as each of the five members of the boy band is  reportedly seeking to build their own solo careers. The tour will start on March 14 at Echo Arena in Liverpool and end on April 1 in Nottingham.

"Everyone's really looking forward to the tour. They really can't wait to get out on the road and see all the fans and this tour for us is just like a big old thank you to all the fans for their amazing support they've given us over the last like four or five years," Nathan Sykes told MTV.

Last month, Max George and fellow member Siva Kaneswaran had a verbal spat through the media over the former's tell-all interview with the Sun where he claimed that there was a lot of tension between the boys which might have contributed to the breakup of The Wanted.
