Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date Arrives For T-Mobile's LG G2, Galaxy Note 3 Coming Up Next

Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date: In case you are waiting for the Kitkat update for your LG G2, then today is your lucky day.

According to a recent news report by GSM Arena, the Kit Kat update has now started rolling out to LG G2 devices for T-Mobile. We've heard a couple of days ago that the said handset would soon be getting the latest Android version, but we didn't expect it to arrive so soon.

Meanwhile, the same report said that Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 for the same carrier will receive Android Kitkat as well, but we're not sure how long we are going to wait.

In the report, Android Kitkat would bring a few improvements to user experience, a transparent notification bar, and other minor tweaks. Of course for most people, what matters most is that they get the freshest Android version.

While the update has started to roll out, the report says it would not start notifying LG G2 users until March 6 up to 25. Still, users can manually check if the update is already available by checking their phone's settings.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 3 for T-Mobile would also get the newest version, though there are still no exact dates released by both Samsung and the US carrier.

So have you updated your G2 smartphone to Kitkat? Is it worth the download?
