Ryan Miller was the goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres, which was the ranked 30th offense in the NHL this season. Ever since being traded last week, now Miller has the Blues offense in front of him, which is third in the League at 3.22 goals per game. They offense showed up in Miller's debut Sunday when Patrik Berglund started and capped a four-goal rally in Phoenix to give Miller a 4-2 victory.
"It was exciting," Miller said in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I was anxious, nervous. I just wanted to help the boys out, give them a feel for what I'm all about. That was pretty impressive, the way the boys made adjustments, came together, had a great third period and get a big win."
Tampa has gone 1-2 in its road trip to start the post-Olympic break. Nate Thompson gave the Lightning a 3-2 lead Sunday, but the Avalanche scored four unanswered in the final 20 minutes.
"I think we're going through a little bit of a rough patch," Thompson told ESPN.com. "A couple breakdowns there at the end and they end up in the back of the net, unfortunately."
