Critics Swoon Over This Week's 'Tahiti" Episode Of 'Agents Of SHIELD'; Bill Paxton Joins Cast As Agent John Garret

Critics swooned over the "Tahiti" episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" despite some of its flaws for the numerous breadcrumbs it revealed promising of better things ahead not juts for the hit series, but for the Marvel Universe as well.

For the "Tahiti" episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," veteran actor Bill Paxton joined the cast as Agent John Garrett, who Marvel fans knew from the "Elektra: Assassin," and he could be part of the regulat cast in the near future, according to IGN.com.

Evan Valentine of Collider said that Bill Paxton's presence has broken the "monotony" of the first half of the episode.

"Paxton has great rapport with everyone on the cast and I'm glad to hear that he's going to be a recurring character on the show, as nearly every one of the noteworthy quotes came from him," the reviewer said.

The denofgeek.us swooned over the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" episode's ending where Agent Coulson found a metal crate marked T.A.H.I.T.I on the Guest House as well as the GH-325's source, which is actually a blue alien in a tank, which the website surmised to be a Kree and if that's true, "that's some brilliant cross marketing with 'Guardians of the Galaxy' right there."

John Wigler of MTV News theorized that the alien could be an "engineer" from "Prometheus" and second would be the "Front Giant" from the "Thor" movies because the dissected blue alien "shares the same basic build and color, if not the same tribal markings."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" might also bring in Lady Sif, Thor's ladylove, since the Tahiti episode showed that Lorelei has already arrived on earth, Kaitlin Thomas of tv.com wrote.

She said that the writers of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" might have realized that viewers are not happy with a Marvel series that doesn't show anybody without any superpowers, but with Lady Sif's appearance next week, "I think we might actually be looking at a series that's far more exciting than the one we previously knew."
