Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: HP Launches 8" Slate For Only $170, Boasts Tegra 3 Processor, Quad-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

Upcoming Android tablets 2014: If you are looking for an Android tablet from a known manufacturer but you have a very small budget, then you better check this new Android slate from HP.

According to a report by Android Authority, Hewlett Packard has just announced its HP 8 1401 Android-powered handset which is priced at only $170.

But what do you get from a tablet that is priced so low?

Well, we can say that you would get a pretty decent set of specifications and features, including an 8-inch LCD display with 1024 x 768 resolution, a quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a Tegra 3 processor.

Also on board is a 16GB internal storage, a 2MP rear camera, a 0.3MP front cam, 25GB of free Box Cloud storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and a battery that is reported to last up to 7 hours.

While the HP 8 1401 has Wi-Fi connectivity, the report says it does not have Bluetooth support, which is pretty odd given that it is among the most basic connectivity features for any device today.

Nevertheless, if you want a very cheap but quality tablet, this one from HP is surely worth a try.
