Starz’s Da Vinci’s Demons is gearing up for a bigger second season which will debut on March 22. In an interview, Tom Riley, who plays Leonardo Da Vinci, and Laura Haddock, who portrays Lucrezia Donati, said that the fantasy drama will be geographically larger and better than the first season. Main characters will also grow emotionally with their back stories expected to be explored.

With this expansion, it is automatic that the show will also welcome new characters, some are good while others will stand in Da Vinci’s quest. To prepare you for the second season, here are some of the Da Vinci’s Demons Season 2 Casts you need to learn about.

First is Ima, the Inca High Priestess, who rules a strikingly beautiful and formidable leader of a tribe. This character will be portrayed by Columbian actress Carolina Guerra who is known for her hosting gig in the country’s version of Next Top Model.

Another compelling character is King Ferrante who will be played by Matthew Marsh. Ferrante is a feared leader of one of the most powerful nations in Italy who will thwart Da Vinci’s quest to find the Book of Leaves.

Amerigo Vespucci is known in history as the first to demonstrate that Brazil and the West Indies are not part Asia's eastern outskirts, as what Columbus has previous claimed. In the show, he is a purveyor of curios and does a lucrative business in securing exotica for the wealthy. He is more likely an ally of Leonardo because of his connections. However, he's always looking for a way to profit, sometimes at expense of da Vinci and his crew

Duke Alfonso, played by Kieran Bew, is the son of Ferrante and future king of Naples who have this insatiable thirst for power. This addiction to power might be the cause of his down fall.

Da Vinci’s Demons Season 2 will pick up where it left off in season one wherein Florence and Medici’s reign are on the verge of collapsing. Leonardo will try to do everything in his ability to defend the city and at the same time, find the truth about his past.
