Amazon Kindle Phone To Launch Soon? Report Claims The Possibility As Retailer Giant's Web Traffic Notches 8.2% In Entire North America

Amazon Kindle phone: Amazon builds great Android tablets for the past couple of years, its Kindle lineup has been one of the most affordable slates in the market. The power of its slates does not simply result from cheap pricing, but a non-compromise build.

And so it is not entirely surprising that while Samsung's share in web traffic in the entire North America is at the top with 55%, Amazon is at 2nd place with 8.2% for all Android devices.

Given that the Korean tech giant has dozens of Galaxy phones in the market today, Amazon only has a handful of tablets, all of which do not even have the actual Android experience.

With that said, it would certainly be possible that Amazon would release a Kindle phone this year. And following its usual pricing strategy, the said smartphone can be priced anywhere in the $150-200 price range, but with midrange specs are far better than those found in the Moto G, or other entry-level Android handsets today.

Is Amazon beginning to fully realize its true potential in the Android platform battle? We'll give you more details about this rumored Kindle phone in the upcoming weeks.
