‘Nymphomaniac’ With Shia LaBeouf Hits Video on Demand; Nymphomaniac Banned in Turkey as Porn; Shia LaBeouf Won’t Wear His Bag to New York Opening

"Nymphomaniac" with Shia LaBeouf is available to watch from the comfort of your home.

The first part of Lars von Trier's provocative sexual story "Nymphomaniac" can be watched at home on most home viewing platforms. Nymphomaniac stars Shia LaBeouf, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman and Willem Dafoe.

The first half of Lars von Trier's erotic opus Nymphomaniac, "Nymphomaniac: Volume 1," arrived on VOD Thursday. The Shia LaBeouf flick is set to hit theaters on March 21.

The unrated "Nymphomaniac: Volume 1" from Magnolia Pictures release gets a limited theatrical release on March 21. The Shia LaBeouf starrer can be seen on video on demand for about $9.99 on most cable systems including Time Warner, Comcast, Cablevision and on Dish and Directv. The movie, which 117 minutes is available for streaming online through outlets Amazon, FlixFling, Xbox Zune and Playstation 3.

But not in Turkey. The country banned the "pornographic" Nymphomaniac, saying the film's extensive nudity and explicit sex scenes make it more porn than art. Cem Erkul, the head of Turkey's Cinema General Directorate, said the board found that the film is "pushing the boundaries of porn" and unfit for public viewing.

In "Nymphomaniac," Charlotte Gainsbourg a woman who has been badly beaten by an older bachelor played by  Stellan Skarsgard. Shia Lebeouf plays Jerôme takes Joe's virginity before she bets a friend that she can have sex with more strangers on a train. The wager? Some candy.

In his review Variety's Peter Debruge said, "Racy subject aside, the film provides a good-humored yet serious-minded look at sexual self-liberation, thick with references to art, music, religion and literature, even as it pushes the envelope with footage of acts previously relegated to the sphere of pornography."

Shia LaBeouf won't be at Nymphomaniac's New York premiere next week due to "a scheduling conflict." The last time Shia made an appearance for the movie, he wore a paper bag over his head with the words "I am not famous anymore" written on the front.

"Nymphomaniac Volume 2″ will be available on VOD March 20 and in theaters April 4.
