'Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Cast Rumors; Korean Actress Kim Soo Hyun To Play Jocasta, Bride Of Ultron Or Moondragon? Character Is Already A Spoiler! Will She Introduce The Next Major Villain?

The recent news that Korean Actress Kim Soo Hyun is up for a 'substantial' role has brought about numerous speculation. Along with the statement that the character is a spoiler in itself, she could be introducing the next major villain!

The report from South Korean news site Osen: "Marvel always prohibits telling too much about the story. Her character is already decided and the scene is already written so we cast Kim Soo-Hyun, but we can't let you know about her character. We only can say that her character is a substantial supporting role."

The Marvel rep who confirmed the story also said that Kim's character will not be revealed as it is a 'spoiler in itself.' Thus, the character will be a clue to the plot development of Marvel Phase 3.

Of course, the other obvious clue is that Kim is an Asian, but Hollywood has recently had a spate of characters being portrayed by an actor of different racial pedigree and the Avengers are in fact 'going global.'

The easy answer is Jocasta, and it was also listed in the Wikipedia entry, but it is definitely not a reliable source. Jocasta is a robot created by Ultron, but her mind was based on the Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) who is yet to be introduced. But since Whedon already altered the origin of Ultron, taking it from Henry Pym to Tony Stark, he could do the same for Jocasta.

If we go by the reference "the scene" it could refer to the end credits scene that Marvel uses to introduce new characters and tease the audience about their upcoming plots. There is a possibility that she is Moondragon, which would be a precursor for Thanos.

There is also a comment from Charles Gaunt in the article from Cinema Blend: "Surely she'll play Madame Viper since Strucker is already going to be in it. Also Wasp is a good shout but I'd like to see a Madame Viper character more for Avengers. Just think she could tie a little bit into the mystical side of things since they're heading that way with Dr Strange."
