‘Bond 24’ News, Rumors: Script Will Draw Heavily From Ian Fleming Novels, ‘Skyfall,’ Other James Bond Films, Writer Teases; Will Quantum Return?

In the latest "Bond 24" movie news and rumors, scriptwriter John Logan revealed that the "Bond 24" script will draw heavily from Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels, as well as previous James Bond films such as "Skyfall." Will Quantum return in "Bond 24"?

"The great thing about Bond is that I have fifty years of movies - 23 movies and all the Ian Fleming novels and short stories, all of which are fodder. And when I'm working on the new Bond I'm constantly going back to Fleming and the other movies - what are the bits and pieces, what are the resonances?" John Logan said.

"One of the things we learned in Skyfall is that the audience really enjoyed those, they enjoyed when they saw the Aston Martin, they enjoyed when we had references to things they grew up with, either from Ian Fleming or from the other movies, and that's always been a part of my thinking about Bond," he added about "Bond 24."

Speaking to Empire, Logan hinted that crime organisation Quantum may return in the next 007 film, NME reports.

Asked if there would be a Quantum return, Logan teased: "There might be! Honestly, not being evasive..."

Logan also describes director Sam Mendes as "a loving, sensitive director who loves the material as much as I do," and adds that writing Skyfall was "the most enjoyable experience I've ever had on a movie, ever," Screenrant.com reports.

The "Bond 24" release date is November 6, 2015. Daniel Craig will star as James Bond again and the film will be helmed by returning director Sam Mendes. Bond girl Naomie Harris is expected to reprise her "Skyfall" role as Moneypenny. Ralph Fiennes will replace Judi Dench as "M" in the upcoming James Bond film, "Bond 24."
