Minecraft PS3 DLC Release: First Skin Pack For The Open-World Sandbox Game To Allow Gamers Play As Nathan Drake From ‘Uncharted’ Or Sly Cooper From ‘Sucker Punch’

Fresh news about Minecraft PS3 DLC release emerges online.

Minecraft PS3 Edition was finally released December of last year but since then, the console version has not received any additional downloadable content yet.

But now, new information about Minecraft PS3 DLC is revealed. Compared to the Xbox 360 Edition of the open-world sandbox creation game, which already received a number or skin pack releases, this is the first time for Minecraft PS3 to get one.

According to a post on Examiner, 4J Studios has recently disclosed its plans to release the first Minecraft PS3 skin pack DLC. Reportedly, the upcoming Minecraft PS3 DLC will "let fans play the sandbox creation game as a variety of characters from Sony-exclusive franchises."

As a teaser for the upcoming Minecraft PS3 DLC, 4J Studios, posted a screenshot of the skin pack via the micro-blogging site, Twitter. The screenshot shows two of the licensed avatar skins that are included in the upcoming Minecraft PS3 skin pack DLC.

Particularly, the first screenshot revealed from the Minecraft PS3 DLC verified that gamers will be able to play as Nathan Drake from the action-adventure third-person shooter game, "Uncharted." Moreover, the screenshot also depicts the character of Sly Cooper from Sucker Punch.

Meanwhile, Mojang, the creator of Minecraft released a new snapshot dubbed as 14w10cc together with a list of changelog. As cited on International Business Times, the changes made are generally various bug and crash fixes.

Moreover, the post on Mojang reads:

Though names changes are technically supported in this snapshot, they will not be available until after 1.8 releases when we will be confident that the majority of active servers have updated to support UUIDs. We will be releasing a Minecraft 1.7.6 version soon to backport these UUID changes for normal servers.
