‘X Men Days Of Future Past' Is ‘Most Anticipated Summer Movie’ According To Rotten Tomatoes! Top 10 List Has Surprising Results!

The latest chapter in the mutant saga, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" recently topped a list of 'The Most Anticipated Summer Movies' released by Movie rating site Rotten Tomatoes.

The list is the result of a survey conducted on Rotten Tomatoes users. They cite  many factors on why fans are anticipating the Mutant Movie. The return of director Bryan Singer has generated curiosity from movie buffs. Also, the big question of how the ensemble casts from two different eras will project on screen. Will it be a great festival of characters or a horrid mess?

Speaking of the cast, the immense star value from a horde of both young and old actors is another big factor to the movie's superior drawing power.

The rest of the list shared by Collider has a lot of surprises!

1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2
3. How to Train Your Dragon 2
4. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
6. Godzilla
7. 22 Jump Street
8. Neighbors
9. Transformers: Age of Extinction
10. Hercules

"The Amazing Spider Man 2" was quite a surprise according to Collider. The first movie was a big hit, but the reception was "unenthusiastic." Sony's aggressive marketing campaign which also teased numerous villains may have piqued the interest of many comic book fans. Thus, if we follow the precedent for the top two movies, quantity is great draw.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" is also a mild surprise. It's not a sequel or reboot but it is part of the Marvel franchise. While it also has A-listers on its voice talent list like Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, the characters are largely unknown. It is expected to be on the list, but it was not expected to top a film like "Transformers: Age of Extinction."

Speaking of the Michael Bay opus, much of the reaction from the entire buzz surrounding the movie had a "seen it before" vibe. While they are introducing an all-new cast led by Mark Wahlberg, fans already expect the movie to be dominated by CGI and explosions, and they are most probably right.

It's not too say that "Transformers" will bomb. The survey deals with whether the users 'want to see it.' Whether they will or not is another question.
