Samsung Galaxy S5 Specs: Sorry Guys, No Premium 'Metal-Clad' Version For Current High-End Flagship Smartphone, Confirms CEO

Samsung Galaxy S5 specs: A rumor recently spread the past few days that Samsung is set to unveil a 'premium' version of the device, packed with a metal back cover instead of the dot-matrix-inspired plastic that now covers the flagship phone. Apparently, all those claims were unfounded.

And to stop these false rumors from circulating the Web, Samsung's CEO himself, J.K. Shin, denied the reports.

According to recent news from various tech blogs and media websites, the Korean tech giant has allegedly preparing a premium Galaxy F lineup of smartphones which would use a material that most Samsung fans have been asking for years - metal.

Actually, whether it's pure metal or a metallic finish just like the one showcased by the All New HTC One, we don't care. We just want Samsung to ditch plastic altogether now and move on to the higher ranks as far as design is concerned.

However, it looks like we are still going to be disappointed with the current flagship. On the other hand, another high-end flagship device is now in the works and would be launched sometime during the IFA event this September - the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Previous rumors claim a wraparound screen, and much better specs for the upcoming phablet flagship. We'll find out where Samsung is still able to pull through in spite its consistent disappointment of consumers in the aesthetics department.
