Meanwhile, 2014 St. Patrick's Day is currently being celebrated, and some Pokemon fans are celebrating it in style.

For example, check out this incredible fan-created Fakemon inspired by the holiday above!

Fakemon, of course, is a type of fan art that attempts to achieve the quality of real Pokemon designs enough to fool gamers everywhere. Many artists take this as a challenge, even going so far as to copy the magazine print or CoroCoro!

And while Fakemon may ultimately leave some fans disappointed, Pokemon X and Y has turned up some excellent Fakemon that should be celebrated for their creativity and quality.

Prior to the release of Pokemon X and Y, a slew of Fakemon circulated the web to troll and entertain the masses. Some of them, however, are truly deserving of notoriety for their quality and creativity.
