America Ferrera’s ‘Ugly Betty’ Reunion Happening Soon? New Movie “Cesar Chavez” Gets SXSW Audience Award

Is America Ferrera's "Ugly Betty" reunion happening sometime soon? The "Cesar Chavez" actress is not closing doors to a possible gathering as her new movie received an award from the 2014 SXSW Film Festival.

America Ferrera's "Ugly Betty" reunion is going to happen but she's not sure if it's going to be on camera.

"We see each other all the time (referring to her co-stars)," she told E! News during the premiere of "Cesar Chavez," her new film directed by Diego Luna.

When asked of an "Ugly Betty" reunion on camera, America Ferrera said: "Anything's possible."

"It's wonderful when fans ask and when they're so excited about it, that hunger to see those characters and the world they live in," America Ferrera added.

Although she said "a lot of things would have to come together to make that happen and, you know, I'll never say never."

Somebody should host America Ferrera's "Ugly Betty" reunion since it's nearly four years since the show was axed after premiering on ABC in September 2006. In the show, America Ferrera plays Betty Suarez, a Mexican-American from Queens, NY who works in the fashion industry but has trouble with her own clothing style.

The show was based on "Yo Soy Betty, La Fea," E! said.

Meanwhile, her new film "Cesar Chavez" received critical praise from the SXSW Film Festival. The film chronicles the life of Cesar Chavez, the activist and union leader who advocated the rights of around 50,000 farm workers in Arizona, AZ Central said.

Cesar Chavez was posthumously awarded the US Medal of Honor by President Bill Clinton.

In describing her role as Cesar Chavez's widow, who's now 86 years old, America Ferrera said: "She's a doer and women in our community are doers and that should be reflected in the stories as well," she told E! News.
