Apple iPhone 5c Rumors Revamp 8GB Version To Go On Sale Today? The New Generation Apple Phone Can Be Yours For Free With A Contract!

Apple iPhone 5c Rumors Revamp 8GB Version: Apple has been rumored to release a newer and much cheaper version of the new iPhone 5c. A new 8GB revamped model of the colorful phone may go on sale today and could go for a free of charge on contract.

The rumors went out after Mac Rumors showed a picture of an 8GB 5c on their site.

The iPhone 5C sales slowed down as the demand for this inexpensive version of the new generation of iPhone drop. As a result, Apple trims production for this plastic version phone for the fourth quarter of last year.

Apple released both iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S in September revealing the new breed of Apple smartphones.

A few weeks after the release, the 5S proves to be a hotter commodity compared to the 5C which had the demands weaker than expected.

Apple's Taiwanese suppliers, Pegatron and Foxconn, were told to trim down the production of the plastic iPhone after seeing the decline in the demand which became lesser than expected. Pegatron was told that the orders for the 5C would be lessened to 20 percent and the other supplier was told to have the production cut down by a third.

The inexpensive version wasn't exactly heating up in the market as it was advertised as only $100 cheaper than the 5S. The two phones however, sold a total of 9 million in the first three days of the release for both the 5C and 5S.

"We're not especially concerned with 5C order cuts at this point because they appear to be offset by strong demand and increased production for the 5S," Morningstar analyst Brian Colello said. "As far as emerging markets, the 5C is simply not cheap enough to gain traction with customers that can buy $150 Android devices."

Analysts however say that Apple is not worried about the decrease of sales on the 5C because of the positive numbers that the iPhone 5S is showing in the market.

"iPhone 5S is the new flagship and if 5S is increasing (its sales) and 5C is decreasing and the fact that 5S production has increased is positive for Apple's margins," Said Chris Caso, Susquehanna analyst.
