You can fly direct to Fort Myers from $256 roundtrip on Spirit airlines. The 465-room South Seas Island Resort starts at $329 a night. The setting feels like you’re straight out of the tropics.

Some of the things you can do in the area is beach combing, sailing, kayaking in mangrove forests, swimming in three pools with slides, fishing off docks frequented by manatees, biking, golfing, and cruising into the sunset.

PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS
