Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy Note 3; New Stock Firmware XXUDNC1 Now Available For SM-900 Units In Southeast Asian Countries

Users of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can now install the official Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update, using a new stock firmware.

As posted on GSM Arena, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was first released in the market in September of 2013. The device originally runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but recently, Google's latest mobile operating system, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, was rolled out to Samsung's latest phablet.

Recently, Samsung rolled out a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3. The base firmware, which comes with build number N900XXUDNC1, is available for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with model number SM-900

Furthermore, those who are interested to install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update can do so via the Over-The-Air notification. However, currently, the OTA update is only available in particular Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users outside Southeast Asia can install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update via the desktop tool called Samsung KIES. Furthermore, the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update can be manually installed using the Odin Flash tool.

But before proceeding with the actual installation process, there are some requirements to satisfy first. One, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users should create a backup first of all the important data and settings stored on the phablet, as the manual installation process might wipe out the content of the device.

Furthermore, the battery level of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 needs to be 80 percent or more before installing the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

Make sure that the correct USB drivers for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are installed on the PC so that the Android device will easily connect during the installation process.
