Red Hot Chili Peppers Tour 2014: Super Bowl Performance Of The Band Sparked Complaints From Viewers; Complainants Said ‘It Was Indecent To See Nipples’ On TV

Red Hot Chili Peppers Tour 2014: Complaints sparked on the doorstep of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) months after the memorable half time performance of the band in Super Bowl XLVIII in New York last February.

A total of 53 complaints were received claiming that the performance of the band was indecent for television.

The band has always been shirtless during the shows but on a wider audience such as the Super Bowl, where kids would also tune in, complaints flew after seeing vocalist Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea perform without their tops.

One complaint read: “I found it indecent that I had to see the nipples of Anthony Kiedis and Flea on the half-time show. Both men and women should have to wear shirts. There are children watching for goodness sake!!!”

Another told the FCC: “THIS PERSON ANTHONY KIEDIS WAS NAKED FROM THE WAIST, THRUSTING HIS PELVIS, SAYING THAT “WHAT HE GOT HE GOT TO GIVE IT PUT IT IN YOU.”
“HE IS CLEARLY TALKING ABOUT HIS PENIS.”

After a successful performance in the 7107 International Music Festival in the Philippines, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to headline more festivals as they will be heading to South America for more shows.

After their performance in the Philippines, vocalist Anthony Kiedis went to visit other parts of the country and went surfing as seen in a Facebook account of a local surfer in Siargao in the province of Quezon in the Philippines.

The front man enjoyed his stay that he called the place paradise and said that that’s what he came for.

“Siargao is a paradise. this is what I came for and I’m is so happy that I decided to go,” said Kiedis.

Meanwhile, Red Hot drummer Chad Smith has been recently challenged by look-a-like actor Will Ferrell to a Drum-Off after the two exchanged words online first with Smith calling off Ferrell saying: "I've seen your skills," says Smith about the actor’s drum skills. "You don't got 'em."

Ferrell saw the harsh words and replied with: "Hi, Chad. Will Ferrell here. I saw your video and I graciously accept your invitation to a drum battle. If we can raise $300,000 for Cancer for College I will face off with you in the greatest drum vs. cowbell showdown the world has ever seen. We can do it on stage at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert or in front of a mutually convenient public library. Your call. Also, would you rather fight a hundred duck sized ducks or one horse sized horse?"

Smith later answered with the acceptance of the challenge of the actor saying: "Tell Will Ferrell anytime, anyplace, I'll take him down. I don't want to embarrass him, but I'd say don't bring your family. Especially children. I don't want them to see this."

The two were seen poking fun with each other for the longest time since many people called the drummer Will Ferrell a dozen of times with their resemblance.

The Peppers are set for a festival world tour where they are scheduled to play different festivals all around the world.
