Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: 50,000 Desire 816 Handsets Sold In 10 Minutes, Gets Priced In EU

Upcoming HTC phones 2014: The HTC Desire 816 is tipped to be the savior of HTC this year, and it sure lives up to expectations.  

In several reports days ago, the HTC Desire 816 phablet reportedly gained 1 million pre-orders because of a promo giveaway from a particular retailer. 

And from what we know previously, most if not all of these 'pre-oders' are not really interested in shelling out some cash for the gadget. 

However, in a report today by GSM Arena, it appears that a huge chunk of those pre-orders were really going to get the device anyway. In fact, at the Desire 816's launch, it only took around 10 minutes for all the 50,000 stocks to be sold. 

Wow. 

And now that is has already proven its worth for HTC in the Chinese market, it is now time to conquer the EU markets. In a separate report, the HTC Desire 816, as well as the Desire 610 were both priced. 

The 5.5-inch phablet Desire 816 costs €370 in some markets and €400 in Germany. Meanwhile, the smaller 610 is priced at €300 in Amazon Germany.
