Oppo N1 Getting A Mini Version? Rumor Claims 5" Display, Octa-Core Chipset, LTE And Non-LTE Editions

Oppo N1: Oppo N1 is certainly one of the better and larger handsets we have seen in years, but it looks like the company is working on a 'mini' version.

The previous flagship device became available for purchase October of last year, and while it packed just a Snapdragon 600 chipset, it has one feature that stood out - its swivel camera.

Now that the Find 7 has been announced, more people would consider getting the newer device than a smartphone that is already almost half a year old.

Good thing Oppo has managed to come up with an idea.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the Chinese phone manufacturer is now working on a mini version of the device. However, it may just have been dubbed 'mini' because it is smaller than the original.

Rumored to pack a 5-inch display, the Oppo N1 mini is not by any means a small smartphone as far as industry standards are concerned. And while it rocks a smaller display, it aims to retain the processing power with Samsung's Exynos 5 octa-core chipset.

Other alleged specs include LTE and non-LTE versions, and a possible announcement date in May or June.
