“The Hobbit: There And Back Again' Won't Push Through? Producer Says Director Peter Jackson Ending Series At Two Parts

"The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will most likely not push through? Is director Peter Jackson stopping at two films in the trilogy?

"I can legitimately say right now that the third film doesn't exist. (Director) Pete's cutting it," series producer and co-writer Philippa Boyens said in an interview on the March 27 issue of Empire magazine.

But don't worry Hobbit fans, the producer is just kidding!

"As an entity, it's coming together. Actually that's not true - we have a rough assembly, so to speak, of the shape of the film and the performances. I am excited, because one of the storylines I care a lot about is the Thorin one," she about "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" added.

She also said that Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, the deposed king of the Dwarves, "was amazing" in the "The Hobbit: There and Back Again."

In an interview with Empire in December last year, Richard Armitage revealed that he's quite anxious about the filming of "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" particularly about the "Battle of the Five Armies," where men, dwarves, orcs, elves and eagles collide.

"I'm predicting about ten weeks for the shoot because it's an extensive battle and each character is going to have their 'hero' moment on the battlefield," he said.

"It's a manic fight in the air - the eagles are fighting bats - and on the ground, and I can't wait to see what Pete does with that."

Andy Serkis, who voices Gollum in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," couldn't hold back his excitement when asked for a reaction on the Battle of the Five Armies without revealing too much: "It's going to be intense beyond belief. It's going to be extraordinary - that's all I can say."

"The Hobbit: There and Back Again" will reportedly be released on December 17, 2014.
