Poker Pro Liv Boeree To Appear In `The Mind Control Freaks;’ New Discovery Channel Television Show Features Psychological Manipulation and The Human Mind (Video)

Liv Boeree is a hot poker player who can control the minds of the other players at the table. The Discovery Channel announced that Liv Boeree has been named as a presenter on "The Mind Control Freaks." Whether Boeree wins through mind control or her sexy strategies of seductive distraction, Most men wouldn't mind losing a pot or two.

According to Discovery Network. Team PokerStars professional Liv Boeree will be featured on "The Mind Control Freaks," a new series on the Discovery Channel that will explore the psychology of the human mind. Discovery Networks International commissioned The Mind Control Freaks for  ten 30-minute shows this month.Mind Control Feaks will air internationally beginning in April.

Originally from Kent, England, Liv Boeree is one of the most successful female poker players of all time and a European Poker Tour Champion.

This won't be Liv Boeree's first appearance on a non-poker TV show. Boeree appeared on Golden Balls, a British daytime show that showed off Boeree's mastery of the blusff, in 2007.  Boeree bluffed her way to a £6,500 win. In 2012, Liv Boeree and Kevin MacPhee were featured in "I Bet My Life," a reality television show on The Travel Channel that followed the two poker players on the road as they traveled to tournaments. Boeree, a tournament player with around $2.4 million in earnings, is endorsed by PokerStars.

According to Cardplayer.com, "The Mind Control Freaks" will explore how people maniuplate psychological techniques like peer pressure and hypnosis, to change people's minds. In "The Mind Control Freaks," four experts demonstrate how psychological techniques from hypnosis to peer pressure, conformity and obedience to authority can influence people. "The Mind Control Freaks" will feature Alexis Conran from "The Real Hustle," Liv Boeree, the  hot poker player who mastered the art of the bluff, Lewis Le Val, an expert in hypnosis expert and sleight of hand mater Pete Wardell.

In a statement, said Sarah T. Davies, Vice President of production and development for factual at Discovery Networks International, said "The Mind Control Freaks is an exciting new series for us which plays in a new space for Discovery Channel. We've been exploring the reinvention and fusion of genres with a lot of success, and The Mind Control Freaks is set to take that to the next level as we blur the lines between science, psychology and trickery in an all-new format."

Paul Gilheany, Discovery Channel's executive producer for Objective Productions, said "Making this series has been a real eye opener-a surprising, revealing and sometimes terrifying insight into how easily and thoroughly we can be controlled by other people."

The Mind Control Freaks is being developed and produced by Objective Productions. Mind Control Freaks will be broadcast starting next month on the Discovery Channel.
