Celebrity Wedding Gown Not A Big Deal For Keira Knigtley; ‘Anna Karenina’ Actress Says She Prefers Doc Martens And Dungarees Over Chanel!

In Hollywood wherein celebrity wedding gowns gain much attention, Keira Knightley doesn't really care what others think about her choices. When the 28-year-old actress married James Righton last year, many were shocked that she donned a Chanel dress that she previously used.

Rather than sourcing the world's best designers for her celebrity wedding gown, she opted to "recycle" her Big Day outfit.

"Karl [Lagerfeld] very kindly designed me a jacket to go with it. I'd worn the dress lots. It was my something old. And I liked not making a big deal about it. I just wanted to be in something I had had a great time in, something I would have a great time in again," she told The Daily Telegraph.

Unfortunately, the dress might soon be trashed because according to the 'Star Wars' actress, one of her friends spilled red wine all over the fabric leaving it unrecognizable. Nonetheless, she doesn't regret anything.

"It's quite impressively splattered. But, hey, a good night is a good night and when a dress has had its time, maybe it's had its time. I'm pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can't, I'm happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed," she explained.

The 'Anna Karenina' star likewise confessed that during her off-days, she could be seen clad in dungarees and Doc Martens: "I wear the dungarees so much that I've now got three pairs, because it was getting to the point where I was like, 'You have to wash them, Keira,' and I'm really into Doc Martens at the moment. I think I've decided to become my eight-year-old self again, because when I was eight that was all that I wore - dungarees and Doc Martens."

Perhaps celebrity can take a cue from the brunette beauty that even famous stars can be comfortably low-key at times.
