Bryan Konietzko Previews Legend Of Korra Book 2 Art Book Before Season 3 Release Date [PHOTO]!

As "The Legend of Korra" fans await Book 3, some positive news is arriving for the release of the official Book 2 art book.

"I’m excited to be going over the final proofs for the second Dark Horse 'Korra' art book. This thing will be on its way to the printers soon. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!" writes co-creator Bryan Konietzko on Tumblr.

In the photo, you can see various images from Book 2 "Air," including some nice shots of Kya, Tenzin's older sister.

According to Avatar the Last Airbender Online, a projected release for the Book 2 art book release date is slated for September 16 by both Amazon.

Now, the release date for "The Legend of Korra" Book 1 art book was July 23, 2013, two months before the premiere of Book 2.

However, given that the art book seems to coming together much faster, it is entirely possible that the September 16 date is simply a stockholder release date, and the real date is much closer than we know.

All this is to say, perhaps "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 release date won't be in September, like Book 2.

According to a post by Konietzko, their collaboration with Studio Mir has Book 3 on track to air much sooner than the 15-month hiatus before Book 2.

"The premiere date hasn't been pinned down, but we are on track to airing Book 3 with MUCH less of a wait than the unfortunate one there was before Book 2 aired. We are all incredibly excited for you all to see the new book."

So unless otherwise specified, I'd take all the release dates for the Book 2 DVD, the art book, and any hints of Book 3 with a grain of salt. It could still arrive sooner rather than later.
