Idina Menzel `Let It Go’ Hits The Charts Strong on John Travolta's Adele Dazeem Flub; Idina Menzel and John Travolta `Buddies' Now

Idina Menzel said "Let It Go" to the John Travolta Adele Dazeem flub on the Oscars. The Wicked star has no problem with John Travolta. Idina Menzel's newest song "Let It Go" jumped in the charts after the Oscar performance, no mean feat for a Broadway star.

Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" rode on more than John Travolta improvising the "Adele Dazeen" line, but it didn't help. Idina Menzel has happily forgiven John Travolta for flubbing her name on live TV at the Academy Awards a few weeks ago. Menzel says it's been great for her.

Menzel said at first that she "was very zen" about the Travolta flub. But Menzel's Oscar-winning "Let It Go" from the Disney movie "Frozen" flew up  17 spots to hit the big number 9 on the Hot 100 as of March 22.

The flight of Let It Go started with Menzel's performance on the Academy Awards on March 2. The press focused on how Idina Menzel was introduced by John Travolta as Adele Dazeem, but all eyes were on that performance, which was a winner in itself.

Menzel and Travolta were the talk of the Oscars for days after the Oscars, but Menzel says the two are "buddies" now. She recently told the media "He was really gracious and sent this gorgeous email, and we're buddies and it's all cool. Please. I mean, I've only benefited from it."

She still had a wonderful time at the Oscars, and was excited to tweet about the event to her followers.

Menzel won the 2004 Tony Award for best actress in a musical and nominated for featured actress in a musical in 1996, for "Rent."
