Did James Franco Attempt To Hook Up With An Underage Scottish Girl? '127 Hours' Actor Even Insisted To Rent Hotel Room?

James Franco's girlfriend remains unknown but the screenshot of his flirty messages to a 17-year-old girl went viral. 

The teenager, who attends Clackmannanshire-based Dollar Academy, was on a birthday trip with her mom in New York when she ran into the 35-year-old actor outside the door of Franco's Broadway show, 'Mice and Men'. 

The young celebrant reportedly got the attention of the 'Spring Breakers' star that he asked her to tag him in the photo that she took.

Franco later managed to communicate with her online. He initially asked her basic questions such as her place of origin, the duration of her stay in New York, and her relationship status.

The conversation eventually escalated into Franco asking her: "You're single? Where's your hotel? Should I rent a room?"

The Scottish girl, thinking that it was an April Fools' Day prank, asked Franco to prove his identity to which he immediately responded with a photo of him waving.

He later added: "Yes or no? Tomorrow or Thursday." Franco was likewise asked to take a photo of himself with a piece of paper with the girl's written name. However, he lost his interest upon finding out that girl would only turn 18 this coming May.

The 'Pineapple Express' actor later announced on his Twitter page that he wouldn't be involved with minors. He also warned parents to keep their teenagers away from him.

However, some think that James Franco's girlfriend hunt might be nothing but a publicity stunt for his upcoming flick 'Palo Alto' which will be released on May 9.
