Prince Harry Girlfriend 2014: Engaged, Wedding Plans To Cressida Bonas Would Be Kept ‘Very Quiet,’ Similar To Prince William And Kate Middleton Engagement Announcement

Prince Harry and his girlfriend Cressida Bonas are likely to keep any engagement or wedding plans under wraps until they're ready to come out with the big news, similar to Prince William and Kate Middleton's sudden engagement announcement, People magazine reports.

A source told the publication that it's unlikely any plans for a wedding or getting engaged soon would be known to anyone but the couple at first.

"If they were going to get engaged, Harry would want to keep it so very quiet," the source said, People reports. "And they aren't the sort of family that needs to have a 'summit' over an engagement."

This statement comes just after the Daily Mail reports rumors that Prince Harry and his girlfriend Cressida Bonas' relationship is heating up and that her family is holding a "summit" about the couple to discuss the possible royal engagement to Prince Harry.

There's little doubt that Prince Harry would follow in the footsteps of his brother Prince William when it comes to matters of the heart.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were engaged in secret while they were on a romantic vacation together in Africa. They later made their official engagement announcement to the world.

According to People magazine, a family friend told the publication last year that Prince Harry, 29, and girlfriend Cressida Bonas, 25, are "very serious." And it looks like the couple are still going strong a year later!

But as we previously reported, Cressida Bonas recently skipped out on Harry's late-night hang out with some rugby friends and also did not attend the wedding of Lucy Meade and Charlie Budgett as Prince Harry's date - he went solo, but was accompanied by Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Is Cressida Bonas hiding from the media to deter engagement and wedding rumors?

"People talk to her all the time about Harry and she gets quite cross and says 'I don't want to get married yet,'" a friend of Cressida Bonas' told the Daily Telegraph.

"She hasn't been invited to meet the Queen yet, so she's not at the stage of an engagement being imminent."

Prince Harry will be 30 this September, a typical age for members of the Royal family to marry, The Daily Telegraph reports.

"If it was up to Harry he would get married straight away but he is very sensitive about her on this particular issue," said a source. "Harry has told her he will wait."

Harry and Cressy have been dating for almost two years.
