Baek Ji Young on Why She Had to Quickly End the Promotion of 'Average'

Baek Ji Young opened up about the reason she had to quickly end the promotion of 'Average.’

On June 1 broadcast of SBS 'Go Show,’ Baek Ji Young opened up "The song 'Average' was my title song in the album I released after meeting my current boyfriend(Jung Suk Won).”

She continued "the lyric goes like 'I wanted to meet an average person and fall in average love like an average person but how did I meet someone so extremely mean like you. How did I meet someone like you that I would hurt so badly,' At the time because I was openly dating, as a singer myself and the audience were a bit confused about the song. Everyone was more interested in my relationship with my boyfriend rather than my song. Though I would frown and try to sing the song sadly, I couldn't do so and the audience didn't seem to agree with my emotions either.”

She concluded "I couldn't focus on the song. So I quickly ended my promotion. I didn't even go a full month. It was especially like that because it was right after we revealed our relationship.”
