Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson Not Together On Her Birthday? Fans Of ‘Twilight’ Actress Made Her Day Memorable By Raising $20,000 For Charity Work
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might not be together on her 24thbirthday last April 9 but it does not mean that the 'Snow White and the Huntsman' actress has no reason to be happy. Just in time for her special day, Stewart's fans surprised her with a hefty donation for a cause that's very close to her.
"Kristen is absolutely blown away by the support and generosity of her fans. So far, they have raised over $20,000 for Alzheimer's research. This was by far her favourite birthday gift," says the source to Hollywood Life.
The donation will be distributed accordingly to several medical charities.
Stewart found out about Alzheimer's disease while she was working on the drama 'Still Alice'. In the upcoming flick, she plays the role of a daughter whose mother has been diagnosed with the degenerative illness.
The 'Camp X Ray' was reportedly touched that she promised that she'd do her part to raise awareness for the illness.
"She learned so much about Alzheimer's working on Still Alice and is overwhelmed that so many of her fans are contributing to the foundation (Cure Alzheimer's Fund). She wants to do more to help raise awareness, especially with the younger generation," added the insider.
