One Direction Video Of 'You And I' Plagiarized From Aussie Band Clubfeet? Production Company Dubbed Boygroup As 'No Direction' For Copycatting

The One Direction video of their 'You and I' single has been tagged as a copy of another music video by Australian band Clubfeet entitled 'Everything You Wanted'.

Oh Yeah Wow, the production company behind Clubfeet's music video, exposed several similarities between 'You and I' and 'Everything You Wanted'. The company likewise labeled the Bristih boy band as 'No Direction' for the copycatting issue.

One Direction's video has been created by Fulwell 73. In the One Direction video, the members are seen with their frozen images on screen. As per Oh Yeah Wow, this effect is something which they have created.

On its Facebook page, the Melbourne-based company expressed its disappointment over the plagiarism issue: "As you may already know, those money machines One Direction and the sneaky chimps at Fulwell 73 Productions have decided to rip off our music video for Clubfeet. We here at Oh Yeah Wow have become somewhat fed up with plagiarism and as such, have decided to write about it."

The company likewise created a website post which detailed their reason for publicizing the issue: "Considering the sleep deprivation one must endure to create an original piece with practically no budget, you can start to understand the annoyance we might feel when some affluent young bucks and a director devoid of creativity, decide to effectively steal (and subsequently dilute) our idea."

Oh Yeah Wow clarifies that they are disappointed with the concept stealing and not with the 1D members. The group claims to be fans of One Direction, that's why they find it disappointing that the society is becoming so complacent with plagiarism and copycatting.

The band has not yet commented about the issue.

Do you think One Direction's video copied Clubfeet's concept?
