Jay Z Drake Feud: Beef Between Drake and Jay Z May Be Fun, But That `Soft as Lacrosse’ Line Stings; Brooklyn Nets Join The Game

Jay Z Drake Feud: The beef between Jay Z and Drake is getting more dangerous than anything on a Lacrosse field. This might be fun and games for the two rappers, but lacrosse players are getting increasingly upset that their game is being ridiculed as too soft.

Last Monday night, DJ Khaled released "They Don't Love You No More." The song featured a rap from Jay Z saying "Haters wanna ball let me tighten up my drawstring, wrong sports boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team."

In a statement to MTV News a spokesperson for Major League Lacrosse said "Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet. Players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour. With that said we don't think Jay Z knows what he's talking about when he calls Lacrosse ‘soft' I can guarantee you it is anything but a ‘soft' sport."

The Drake Jay Z feud started when Drake called Jay Z's art investments "corny" in a recent Rolling Stone interview. Drake said Jay Z was a little full of himself, taking himself too seriously in the art world saying "It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references."

Then rapper Drake called out Jay Z for liking fondue.

The Drake Jay Z feud escalated when Jay Z escalated slammed Drake on DJ Khaled's track, which also featuring Rick Ross, Meek Mill and French Montana and that line about the lacrosse team.

When Lil Wayne dropped his new tune, "Believe Me," it featured Drake shooting back with the rap "I've been talking shit light, you don't wanna hear me trip/God damn, do ya'll really know who you f**kin with?"

Drake came back on his track "Draft Day." During the NBA playoffs he also commented "Jay Z's somewhere eating a fondue plate."

A couple nights ago, the Brooklyn Nets, who are affiliated with Jay Z, put the lint-rolling rapper in a little dressup jersey on the Jumbotron at the Raptors-Nets game.

50 Cent recently talked to Hot New Hip Hop magazine about the Drake Jay Z beef, saying "I think its good, man. I don't think its a dangerous competition for Jay at all. He's got a lot of things he could pull. Of course because he's accomplished himself in so many ways, they're gonna have him under a different scrutiny... of let's say the 'conservative' audience."
