‘Amazing Spider Man 3’ Plot Spoilers: Gwen Stacy Will Return? Emma Stone Hints That She Is Not Out Of The Franchise Yet! How Will They Bring Her Back?

"The Amazing Spider Man 2" had a shocking ending for most, but for the comic book fans, the only question was whether Marc Webb and the writers would use their creative liberty to change the ending. They did not. Or did they?

It is clear as day though that Gwen Stacy died. But the idea is that Emma Stone, in some other shape or form, would return to the franchise.

It is not every day that your lead stars can share some glorious chemistry on and off the screen. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone just clicked and they became the toast of Hollywood. This is why the reboot movie, "The Amazing Spider Man" became successful despite concentrating on the love angle more than the super-heroism.

When it was time for Spider Man to start "hero-ing" Marc Webb seemed out of his element. "TASM 2" would still be a hit though, simply with the momentum from the first movie. The reviews were not as kind-but they still point to the Garfield-Stone tandem as the only positive.

And now, that's gone. Or is it? Would Sony let go of the main asset of their tentpole franchise?

Emma Stone talked to Screen Rant about her last shooting day:

"It was pretty crazy, I mean, it takes a while to film. It takes like a week, so you're sort of, you know, all the different parts of it. But we shot it out of sequence, so I actually croaked before I croaked, if that makes any sense. Like a frog. I'm not talking about death, I'm talking about frog noises. Just kidding. So I had to do the death scene and my last day actually on the movie was Dane holding me as the Goblin about to drop me. So that was probably the most emotional part. Just because it was-I was about to fall and I also knew it was my last day and my last time working with these people..."

Screen Rant had to confirm that "last day" point, and Emma was candid enough:

"I don't know... is it?"

She was about to elaborate: "There could be a-I don't know, there's a whole plotline that could happen that may bring her back."

The interviewer, named Kofi Outlaw, cut the session at that point and said "more on that later."

There have been plotlines in the comic books and in the Ultimate Marvel Universe. But just like the interview-"more on that later."

The main point though, is that  we have not seen the last of Emma Stone.
