‘Hawaii Five-0’ Cast Nick Jonas Moves On From Jonas Brothers With New Solo Album? Gets Busy With DirecTV’s ‘Kingdom’

"Hawaii Five-0" cast Nick Jonas is moving on as he is about to release his first solo album since the Jonas Brothers disbanded. Aside from making music, the 21-year-old singer is also going to play a significant role in new DirectTV drama, "Kingdom."

Songwriter and producer Michael Robert "Mike" Posner revealed the news in a Twitter post on June 9 which reads: "@nickjonas is a great writer and musician. Just wait for his new album. Flames. #rli"

"Hawaii Five-0" cast Nick Jonas also posted an Instagram photo of him posing beside Mike Posner along with the caption, "Great session with @mikeposner #music."

According to HollywoodLife, although this would be the first solo album for Nick Jonas post-Jonas Brothers, he also released a self-titled album in 2005 when he was just 13 years old before the Jonas Brothers was even conceptualized.

Meanwhile, "Hawaii Five-0" cast Nick Jonas was tapped for a role in "Kingdom" which will premiere on the Audience Network on October 8.

In a report by Variety, Byron Balasco's "Kingdom" will center on a family and the challenges surrounding a mixed martial arts gym they own, as well as their own respective relationships and addictions.

"Hawaii Five-0" Nick Jonas is set to play the prize fighter Nate, the son of Frank Gillo's Alvey "King" Kulina. Also starring in the ensemble cast are Jonathan Tucker, Joanna Going, Matt Auria and Kiele Sanchez.

According to Variety, "Kingdom" is ordered for 10 episodes and will be DirecTV's third original drama, following "Rogue" and "Full Circle."

Earlier, "Hawaii Five-0" cast Nick Jonas pulled out of the "Off The Record" tour with brothers Joe and Kevin who performed at iPlay America in Freehold on June 5, according to app.com.

Joe Jonas dished out on their relationship with Nick Jonas during the Q&A withDelaware Online particularly after the Jonas Brothers disbanded.

"It's a bit of a different situation for us. Being a family in a band makes it a little bit easier," he said. "It can make it a little bit more difficult, I guess, to be cool with each other."

However, Joe Jonas insisted that they're really happy or each other.
