During his outing against the Rockies, JulioTeheran's ERA ballooned from a Major League-leading 1.89 to 2.41. He looks to improve on his 6-4 record, which you think would be better with his stellar pitching all season.
"I'm excited," Teheran told MLB.com about getting back out there on Monday. "I'm ready to go out there. I've been working on the same things. I'll just go out there and forget about that game in Colorado. I know it wasn't my best game. I'm just trying to be better this time."
Meanwhile, Hamels (2-3, 3.07 ERA) has not allowed a run in 16 2/3 consecutive innings. He also has a 0.40 ERA (one earned run in 22 2/3 innings) in three starts this month and a 1.78 ERA (10 earned runs in 50 2/3 innings) in his past seven starts.
In his past seven outings, Hamels has compiled a 1.78 ERA, but the Phillies are just 3-4 in those starts.
"I just want them to know they can count on me to go out there and give them something to play behind," Hamels said Wednesday.
