X-Men Days Of Future Past Star Jennifer Lawrence ‘Rape Scream’ Joke Twitter Controversy Defended By Fans! ‘All This Is Speculation,’ Says Supporter

Jennifer Lawrence "rape scream" joke Twitter controversy has been taken the Twitterverse by storm! Following the alleged offensive joke made by the "X-Men Days Of Future Past" star comments of disappointment outpoured online.

Vulture reported the controversial "rape scream" joke intentionally meant to report about Lawrence's party going antics at Cannes, however, her reaction upon seeing "Gravity" director Alfonso Cuaron immediately became viral.

Here is a quote from the article released by Vulture where Jennifer Lawrence "rape scream" Twitter controversy had all started:

Had Lawrence's Bieber fever engineered the change of venue? Maybe so. The first thing she said upon entering the building, according to Vanity Fair's Richard Lawson, was "I want to meet Bieber!!!" The magazine happily arranged an introduction, though Lawrence declined to take a photo, wisely realizing that it would have broken the internet. I missed that historic teen idol summit. I first spotted Lawrence, deep in protection of her posse, because she started screaming: "Ahhhhh! Ahhhhh!"

Those were cries of joy; she'd just spotted Alfonso Cuaron in the crowd. "I broke out my rape scream for you!" she cried and grabbed his shoulders and screamed "Ahhhhh!!!" shaking her head like a crazed fan, or a woman in distress, into his face. Cuaron seemed quite pleased with his greeting.

Following a series of backlash JLaw suffered because of the alleged joke, fans started to show their support and try to defend the "X-Men Days Of Future Past" actress.

Here are some of the comments gathered from various gossip sites to which some of JLaw's fans showed their support to the Jennifer Lawrence "rape scream" Twitter controversy:

From Aizen:

"Shove this article up your ass!! Do the article writers not have life?? Write something worth reading..there is tons of news out there worth writing about! So please find something decent to write about and not some second hand comment of someone making a joke! Other people make worse jokes than this everyday! So, shut up!"

From Jules:

"Oh come on!...all this is speculation...unless there is video or it's coming from an interview, it's just speculation. Not to mention the fact that Uproxx has already written about the validity of the "displeasure on Twitter" and all the tweets seem to come back to this gossip site. Who paid YOU The Hollywood Gossip to try to make a big deal out of nothing?...a few days before X-Men hits theaters?. There was no activity on Twitter at all about this...none. I'm not holding an actress accountable to a comment that they allegedly made.

Richard Lawson (Vanity Fair) was also at the party and mentioned Lawrence meeting Cuaron but made NO MENTION at all about the alleged comment...and he would have if he thought it relevant. It's also important to remember that Jada Yuan, who wrote the article wrote on Twitter that the article was mostly SATIRICAL. Whatever you're trying to do here won't work."

From Divot:

"Oh please. A harmless joking comment someone allegedly overheard second hand. Big deal. Didn't see any reaction on twitter or elsewhere because people (a) have lives and (b) have a sense of humor. So take your malicious article and shove it."

"X-Men Days Of Future Past" star Jennifer Lawrence has yet to address the "rape scream" controversy.
