New Mega Swampert And Sceptile Photos Excite Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Fans [VIDEO]: Starters Mega Evolutions In ORAS

As Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire gain traction with fans, the all new Mega Evolutions for the Hoenn starters have garnered a lot of admirers.

After the introduction of Mega Blaziken in Pokemon X and Y, Mega Sceptile has joined the ranks. According to Serebii, it is a Grass/Dragon dual-type, and can cut of a portion of its tail to fire it like a missle. It has the Lightning Rod ability.

Meanwhile, Mega Swampert is a Water/Ground Pokemon that is quite the formidable upper-body strength. It has a boosted Attack stat and the Swift Swim ability.

In addition to Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye, these new Mega Evolutions have been all the rage with Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire fans.

Mega Swampert in particular has received a lot of attention for it bulky size, and has become the subject of many Internet memes.

"I'm getting Pokemon Omega Ruby and starting with Treeckok," wrote The Famous Entourage on YouTube.

"I'm not sure if I want to go with Treecko or Mudkip," added Simon Bonezay. "I mean, Sceptile is my favorite Pokemon of all time and I absolutely love his Mega Evolution, but the thing is that Mudkip is in my opinion the cutest Pokemon of all time and his Evolutions look really nice and his new Mega is just awesome, so I don't really know what starter to choose."
