LeBron To Lakers 2014 Talk Heats Up! King James' Miami Teammates Lack Passion And Desire! Kobe Bryant Never Runs Out Of That!

LeBron James appears to be leaving Miami. The possibility of LeBron to Lakers this summer of 2014 is actually a real prospect instead of a pipe dream.

The King was more like a lone gunman in the last three games of the series against the Spurs. It's like they just gave up. Dwyane Wade seems content with three titles and a memorable confetti snow angel. Chris Bosh was passive, to say the least. The Miami Heat's eloquent statesman and Teammate of the Year, Shane Battier is retiring and Ray Allen appears to be on the same path. Their two point guards, Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole are still in vertigo after Tony Parker and Patty Mills ran rings around them.

USA Today did a comparison on LeBron James statements in 2010 before he left Cleveland and his statements after Game 5. A) is Cleveland, B) is Miami:

A) "I didn't play this season wondering about what I was going to do in the offseason."

B) "Obviously right now, (the offseason is) not even what I'm thinking about."

This seems like a textbook answer to fend off the press. Not wholly incriminating.

A) "I'll approach this summer with the right mindset. Me and my team will approach it the right way."

B) "I will deal with my summer when I get to that point. Me and my team will sit down and deal with it."

"My team" refers to Team LeBron-his management group led by his hometown mate Maverick Carter.

A) "I'm going to continue to get better throughout the offseason like I always do, and I'll come back a better player next season."

B) "I'm going to stay positive and use this as another opportunity to get better next year."

A) "I love the city, of course."

B) "I love (city in which team plays)."

He has reasons to love both cities. But love of the city never prevented him from leaving Cleveland-his hometown team. That love will not prevent him from leaving Miami either.

Why the Lakers?

For all the criticism piled on Kobe Bryant, one thing you can't accuse him is that he lacks a passion or drive to play the game. LeBron has been criticized of not having the Killer instinct that Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant had. It's frustrating for him that while he was trying his best, his teammates left him in the cold.

In contrast, Kobe will call out any teammate, even in public if they became passive. Los Angeles is also a marketing gold mine, and LeBron's team includes the voices of his sponsors-specifically Nike, which would go insane with the idea that it's two greatest endorsers would get together.
