Honduras will face off against Ecuador in a first round match of the Brazil World Cup 2014 tournament, pitting two Group E teams against each other.
Honduras, ranked 33rd in the world by FIFA, is expected to be the underdog in the match.
The Central American team's coach Luis Fernando Suárez said he rejects allegations that his team plays "dirty."
"Some call it a good style of aggression, others might call it an intense style of play," he said, according to the Washington Post.
"We want to win, but certainly can't be called violent."
Ecuador, ranked 26th in the world, is expected to be the favorite of the match.
The team's manager Reinaldo Rueda said Ecuador were made to pay for letting their emotions get the better of them after a late 2-1 defeat by Switzerland, Sky Sports reports.
"We lost our organization, which has been one of our characteristics, at the end of the match, we were somewhat betrayed by our emotion," Rueda said, according to the site.
"This provoked the goal which took the draw away from us. I believe a moment of naivety costs us the match."
