Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S3; AT&T Variant Receives Firmware Via Over-The-Air

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 users can now install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

Good news for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 owners! Android Geeks reports that the official update is now available for the device. The firmware began to roll out on June 18.

For users who are thinking of installing the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3, below are some changes to expect after the upgrade process, as listed on the support page of Samsung:

New Lock Screen Access

Media Controls - full-screen album art and media controls when listening to music

Those who wish to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on AT&T Samsung Galaxy can now check the notification panel of the phone. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is available via Over-The-Air update and it is particularly compatible with the LTE variant of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 or those bearing the model number SGH-i747.
