Just months after the release of Sony's newest flagship smartphone this year, rumors about the Sony Xperia Z3 release date already emerged.

As noted on a post from IB Times, the Japanese tech manufacturer might push through with the trend of launching a new flagship smartphone every 6 months. Latest reports hints that Sony Xperia Z3 release date might happen on August or September.

Furthermore, Gospel Herald cited that the Sony Xperia S3 release date is planned as early as the third quarter to compete with the iPhone 6, which is allegedly coming this fall 2014.

Furthermore, a report on Eagles Rant suggested a more specific Sony Xperia Z3 release date. Particularly, Sony might hold a launch event for the Sony Xperia Z3 during the IFA 2014 set to happen in Berlin.

According to IFA's official site, the event is a "world's leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances." The IFA 2014 is scheduled from September 5 - 14 in Berlin.

Sony Xperia Z3 specs might include a metal frame which is incredibly thin, as described on The Epoch Times, citing DoomLord, a source of Know Your Mobile. Specifically, the metal frame will only be 7 mm thin, compared to Xperia Z2's frame which measures 8.2 mm in thinness.

Furthermore, a separate report on The Epoch Times noted that the Sony Xperia Z3 might come with a PVD coating, which, as described on the site will give the smartphone a "stainless steel, 'mirror' look and feel." 

Furthermore, a Chinese website, IT168 also suggested possible Sony Xperia Z3 specs and it include a 2.7 GHz quad-core quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. The rumored device will also be equipped with an Adreno 320 GPU with a clockspeed of 500 MHz, as well as 3 GB RAM.
