Lupita Nyong’o’s First Vogue Cover Seals ‘Star Wars 7’ Cast’s ‘It Girl’ Status; People’s Most Beautiful Woman Not Following Jennifer Lawrence’s Lead?

Lupita Nyong'o's first Vogue cover sealed the "Star Wars 7" cast's "It Girl" status as People's "Most Beautiful Woman" of 2014 has revealed her mindset of not following Jennifer Lawrence's lead when she won the Oscars.

Lupita Nyong'o tweeted a pic of her Morocco shoot shot by Micaek Jansson as well as the link to the Vogue cover story, along with the caption, "This Summer, I am totally COVERED!"

In the Lupita Nyong'o's first Vogue cover shoot, she was wearing Prada, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci and Jonathan Sanders as she saunters through the different lounges and markets at a resort, which is "a far cry from her student-in-a-sweatshirt days at Yale, where she earned a master's in 2012," according to L.A. Times,

The 31-year-old actress is set to appear in "Star Wars: Episode 7" alongside Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hammill, and the live-action of Disney's animated film "The Jungle Book."

The "Star Wars 7" cast said that working in films that are more fantastical in theme as opposed to her Oscar-winning turn in "12 Years A Slave" is a "wonderful opportunity.

"They're worlds away from '12 Years a Slave,' that's for sure - but that kind of diversity is what dreams are made of," she said.

Lupita Nyong'o also recounted hearing her name being called for her work in "12 Years A Slave" and reminded herself one thing:

"Don't fall on those stairs. It's not cute if you follow Jennifer Lawrence - it's not cute if you're the second one!" the "Star Wars 7" cast said.

Lupita Nyong'o's first Vogue cover as well as being named by People as its 2014 "Most Beautiful Woman" confirmed her status as the next "It Girl" in Hollywood.

The actress told People after being informed of the recognition: "It was exciting and just a major, major compliment. I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen."
