Cast, Set And Plot Announced for Wachowski Brothers and Netflix Show 'Sense8': Naveen Andrews of 'Lost' and Freema Agyeman of 'Doctor Who' To Be Included In Cast [PHOTO]

The Wachowski clan has found themselves in a bad position for filmmakers, they created one indelible game changing movie, and have been consistently unable to follow up on it. Rather than keeping at the movies, the Wachowski's have moved on to television in a partnership with Netflix. Netflix and the Wachowski brothers have just announced cast, set, and plot details on their newest project, a tv show titled "Sense8."

The cast includes: "Lost" alum Naveen Andrews, and Daryl Hannah, "Stargate Universe's" Brian J Smith, Tuppence Middleton, who appears in Wachowskis' upcoming film "Jupiter Ascending," Aml Ameen of "Maze Runner" and "The Butler," and Freema Agyeman of "Doctor Who." They will be joined by Indian actress Tena Desai, South Korean actress Doona Bae, German actor Max Riemelt, Mexican actors Alfonso Herrera, and Erendira Ibarra, as well as Jamie Clayton, Miguel Silvestre, and Terrence Mann. 

Up until now, Netflix and the creators have revealed very little about the details of the project except calling it"a gripping global tale of minds linked and souls hunted." It is now known that Sense8 is about a group of strangers who are being hunted by an evil organization. The strangers-of which there are eight-find themselves telepathically linked to each other after being united by some sort of tragic death, and the evil organization wants to do evil things to them.

Straczynski, who serves as co-showrunner of the series alongside Lana and Andy Wachowski told Deadline that, "The series follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally. They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other's deepest secrets. Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them."

"Sense8" production will span nine locations on four continents: Chicago, San Francisco, London, Iceland, Seoul, Mumbai, Berlin, Mexico City and Nairobi.

The series is produced by Georgeville TV, Reliance Entertainment/Motion Picture Capital's TV studio, in association with Anarchos Prods., Unpronounceable Prods. and Studio JMS.
