Chicago Bulls News: Will Derrick Rose Return For Good This Time? Melo Needed Badly For More Firepower

By this time of the year, most fans of the Windy City are already looking for Chicago Bulls news that could bring good tidings for the franchise in the coming NBA 2014-15 season.

For one, we could be seeing Derrick Rose running and jumping all over the place again.

In a recent report, the former NBA MVP was seen playing 5-vs-5 full contact games which is definitely a good sign for Chicago fans. Several sources also pointed out that Rose displayed the explosiveness which we have not seen in a while.

Almost a year ago, millions of NBA, Chicago and Rose fans watched him play his first NBA game since being sidelined by an ACL injury for two seasons. He wasn't his usual self, but we were pretty sure he would soon get the hang of it again.

However, a torn meniscus on his other knee has prematurely ended the Bulls' hopes of getting into the Eastern Conference Finals once more.

Now, Rose will soon be back and firing from all cylinders in the NBA 2014-15 season. But who would be his supporting cast? A number of Bulls players have already left the team including veteran scorer and defender Luol Deng which was one of the consistent backups of Rose during his MVP run.

Carlos Boozer may or not be playing for the Bulls this coming season, depending on how the team management can handle All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony - just in case he decides to play for Chicago.

However, a source close to Minesotta Timberwolves forward Kevin Love said that Derrick Rose may be interested in getting Love more than Melo. Apparently, Love is more of a team player than Melo.

Today, Melo told the Knicks that he would become a free agent this July 1, as stated by his agent Leon Rose.

What do you think? Rose-Melo or Rose-Love as the new look for the Bulls this season?
