Blackberry Z3 Review, News: Specs Of Budget Friendly BB10 Handset Incl. 5-inch Display & Dual-Core Processor; Launching In India Tomorrow

Blackberry Z3 review, news: Specs of the BB10-powered Blackberry Z3 include a 5-inch display with a 540 x 960 resolution and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The Z3 also has a 1.1MP camera. When it was launched in Jakarta, the stock of Z3 inventory was sold out on the very first day.

Now the Z3 expands its presence to the vast Indian market as it’s scheduled to launch tomorrow Wednesday, June 25.

The launch is in line with an earlier ZDNet report that said that Z3 will go on sale in India in the near future, since the device is aimed at emerging markets.

Reuters reported that the lower-end Z3 smartphone is being built under partnership with FIH Mobile, the Hong Kong-licensed unit of Taiwanese electronics company Foxconn Technology Ltd.

Other features of the unit include an 8GB storage with microSD support, 1080HP video and a 2,500 mAh battery.

The success of the new handset could well be the deciding factor of Blackberry’s tie-up with the contract manufacturing giant and its own future in smartphones. The Z3 Jakarta Edition has been available in store shelves in the Indonesian city since May 15.

The Blackberry Z3 is the first phone to be launched by Blackberry since it’s new CEO John Chen took office late last year. Aside from Indonesia and India, the Z3 will soon be available in six other countries including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

The Canadian handset maker said that it hopes the device will help it gain some of the collapse in its market share, which has eaten by Apple’s iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy, Google’s Android operating system, and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform.

“If the market doesn’t receive this product well, then we definitely have some negative issues to deal with,” says the company’s CEO Mr. Chen at the launch of the Z3 at Jakarta’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Blackberry declared that it does not have an official sales target for the device, but Chen noted that he expects to sell millions of Z3 handsets around the world.
