Google I/O 2014 Schedule: Popular Developer Event Hosted By Tech Giant Begins With Keynote On 6/25 At 9 AM; Android Wear Launching On Day 2

Google I/O 2014 schedule: The popular development conference by Google, the Google I/O, is less than 24 hours away and continuous to be a highly anticipated occasion for developers and tech watchers all over the world. The annual Google gathering begins at 9 AM PDT (12 NN EDT) on June 25 from San Francisco.

The Android Wear is one of the much-awaited things that is expected to be unveiled at the 2-day event.

According to BostonInno, the unveiling of the wearable platform maybe scheduled to take place at 10 AM PDT on Thursday. The innovation news noted that “Android Wear: The Developer’s Perspective” will explore Google’s new wearable APIs and give a walk-through of what it takes to design and build a small, contextual app for the platform.

Since the beginning of the Consumer Electronics Show in January, this year is proving to give huge emphasis on wearable technology as developers look for new software to build the apps of tomorrow.

Google Glass will also shine under the spotlight at this week’s events. IT Pro Portal reports that earlier this month, we saw the announcement of new partners for Google’s “Glass at Work” program, which aims to encourage development of enterprise applications for the smart-spectacled office employee.

The engineering team from Google Glass will explore the Glass platform and its developer tools and APIs that today’s technical innovators should know. The Google Glass team is scheduled to be on stage at 3 PM Thursday.

The keynote speaker for Wednesday morning is still unknown, but the first few sessions in the morning is expected to include the unveiling of the new Google mobile OS platform rumored to be called Android Lollipop.

The full schedule of events for Day 1 and Day 2 of Google I/O can be found on the events website here.
